DAY 1: Depart from your home area in the morning and travel to Devon, arriving late afternoon at the Headland Hotel for a 4-night stay with dinner, bed & breakfast. Hotel entertainment is provided on two nights.
DAY 2: Our first visit today is to Paignton, Torquay’s near neighbour. Explore the harbour and sheltered coves or enjoy a stroll along the promenade. This afternoon, we head for the port of Brixham with its quaint narrow streets heading up from the waterfront. In the harbour is a replica of the Golden Hind, Sir Frances Drake’s ship. Watch the many boats heading across the bay to Torquay and beyond.
DAY 3: Today is your chance to explore Torquay. Known as the ‘Queen of the English Riviera’, Torquay is one of England’s best-loved resorts. Explore the harbour, enjoy a stroll along the promenade or do some shopping in the town centre. Relax in and around the hotel and watch the world go by.
DAY 4: First, we visit the market town of Totnes with its variety of shops and historic buildings. We continue to delightful Dartmouth. The River Dart is busy with boats of all shapes and sizes, and the town hosts the Royal Naval College. We have time for lunch here before we return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
DAY 5: After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
