Weald & Downland Museum – Monday 11th May – Green Route

Monday 11th May 2026

Discover 600 years of English rural life through this collection of over 50 historic buildings in a glorious setting in the South Downs. Mostly they are buildings moved from their original location and rebuilt – they show how people lived throughout the ages: from workers’ cottages, shops, farmhouses, barns and even a church. There are also collections of artefacts: building and agricultural trades and tools, transport and vehicles, rural crafts and so on. There is also a café and gift shop.
